The newly launched app 'Thread' by Meta has brought so much social media joy to Nigerians especially because of how simple it is and the opportunity it gave literally every account to gain followers organically from scratch. 

Both top Nigerian celebrities and their fans are at the same beginning level on the app making it easy for interactions to thread more and more. 

The thread app actually rivals the 17 year old Twitter founded originally by Jack Dorsey but was later bought over by Elon Musk last year 2022.
